His roles as President and Pro-Chancellor of the group's universities in Pune and Navi Mumbai respectively, reveal a deep personal interest in the educational cause. His appointment as Chairman of the Central Board for Workers Education by the Ministry of Labour and Employment in India gives an indication of the wider contribution he has made in the field of education. With a teaching and research career spanning 45 years, Dr Singh is highly experienced in recruitment, training, module development and quality assurance.

Wayne Johnson Head of School

Wayne Johnson is originally from Yorkshire in the U.K. and had a successful career in the media before moving into education. He started his international teaching career in Thailand and has held leadership positions in international schools in Africa, South-east Asia and now Belgium.

He is a firm believer in holistic education and educating the whole child. Good international schools expose their children not only to quality academics but also to drama, sport, community work, leadership, technology and values based learning. He is also a passionate advocate of inquiry based learning which is embodied in the international curricula offered at DYP International School, Belgium (IPC, Cambridge and IB).

He is delighted to be the Head of School and his two children, Jasmine and Luke are also happy 'third culture' kids enjoying their time studying and making friends at DYPIS Belgium.

He looks forward to meeting with both prospective and existing parents and other members of the local and international community and welcoming them all to this great school.

Dr. Makarand Jawadekar
Dr. Makarand Jawadekar

Dr. Makarand Jawadekar is presently a member of the Board of Advisors of Saama Technologies, Inc., a leading clinical analytics company in California, USA. He is also a Governing Board Member of Ajeenkya DY Patil University, Pune.

He was formerly a Director, Portfolio Management and Analytics, Pfizer, Inc. at Groton-New London, CT. In the recent past, he was responsible for Benchmarking R&D Portfolio for Pfizer, working with Benchmarking Forums (CMR/KMR), Drug Delivery Technology Assessment function involving external "Drug Delivery" technologies. He has extensive experience in creating and cultivating external partnerships and alliances for drug delivery technologies for Pfizer Global R&D. He began his professional career at Pfizer Central Research in early 1982, after having completed his Ph.D. in Pharmaceutics at the University of Minnesota.

With a continuous 28 years of experience in Pfizer, he had been also been engaged in creating new alliances, JVs, partnerships and M&A of companies with Pharmaceutical manufacturing, R&D activities with external partners/service providers. He also serves on the prestigious global "Judging Panel"/ Executive Review Board instituted by IBC/ InformaPharma Group for their Annual Pharmaceutical Annual Achievement Awards, as well as European Outsourcing Awards by Via-Media Ltd. He also is on the Editorial Advisory Board for monthly publication namely, "Pharmaceutical Technology Europe.

He was presented with the "M.L. Khorana Memorial Lecture of the Year Award" at the Indian Pharmaceutical Congress held in New Delhi, India, in December 2001 for his Presentation on "Advances in Drug Development and Delivery Systems with a Focus on Protection of Intellectual Property Rights". In Feb 2011, he received an honorary Doctorate from DYP Mumbai University.

Hrridaysh Deshpande
Hrridaysh Deshpande

Hrridaysh has been in the field of education for over 24 years. Presently, Hrridaysh is the member of Governing Body & Director of Ajeenkya DY Patil University.

He is associated with the India Design Council (IDC) as its consultant advisor. IDC is a national strategic body of Government of India established under the aegis of Department of Industrial Policy & Promotion. Under the aegis of IDC he is spearheading India Design Mark program in cooperation with Good Design Award, Japan. He has been the jury member at Good Design Awards, Japan for 2013, 14,15 and 17 editions. He has been the jury member for world’s largest student design competition – Taiwan International Student Design Competition in 2015 and 2017.

He is the member of CII National Committee on Design. He has authored three India Design Reports published in 2009, 2011 and 2014. He has been curating, planning and executing the CII NID Design Summit for the last 6 years. In the year 2011, he helped CII initiate the CII Design Excellence Awards and has been managing these awards since then. During his work with CII he also helped to initiate the CII Industrial Innovation Awards in 2014. Recently he authored a report on “Future of Design Education in India” published by the British Council in India.

Over the years Hrridaysh has acquired proficiency in business innovation strategy and design driven Innovation. He focuses on structured innovation practices for organizational innovation via appropriate tools, methods and processes. Hrridaysh has worked on several committees on innovation and has been a speaker at many prestigious forums. Through his work, Hrridaysh has assisted leading companies across a range of industries. He edited a compilation of 4 volumes of Indian Innovation Case Studies for Department of Science & Technology, Government of India.

Hrridaysh is an experienced, enthusiastic, and energetic educator and innovation facilitator. He is passionately committed to education and capable of expanding the limits of traditional pedagogy through the development and realization of a unique integrative and interdisciplinary curriculum.
